Hayden is a Physiotherapy graduate from AUT, with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy and a Postgraduate Diploma in Biomechanics and Rehabilitation. He works across sports injuries, recovery after surgery and long-standing pain. He takes a highly personalised approach, combining a thorough assessment, manual therapy, tailored exercise and clear, in-depth education so people genuinely understand their diagnosis and what is driving their injury. He is especially keen on explaining why injuries happen and how to prevent them, so his clients get back to what they love stronger and more confident.
A recent success story: a 32-year-old semi-pro netballer came to Hayden after her third ankle sprain in eighteen months. The constant pain and fear of re-injury meant she was missing games, dropping out of training and losing confidence on court. Hayden took an extended session to show her, with simple diagrams and video analysis, exactly why her ankle kept rolling: poor hip control, a weak glute medius, and years of landing with her knees caving in. Together they corrected the root causes with targeted exercises, movement analysis and sport-specific drills. Six weeks later she was back playing pain-free, trusting her ankle again, and even helping coach her teammates on injury prevention. As she put it, for the first time she actually understood her body.
