Sharon Shan Qu

Sharon is a licensed acupuncturist who has worked with the Ponsonby community for over six years. She focuses on ACC injuries, pain management and internal concerns such as insomnia, stress, pregnancy and menstrual health, and she has a calm, supportive way of working with people who feel nervous about trying acupuncture.

One of her clients, Sara, came in with constant anxiety attacks and was struggling with the side effects of her medication. After a few months of treatment, Sara was able to stay home on her own, drive again and care for her children, well on her way to getting her life back.

Sharon earned her Master's in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine from Hunan University of Chinese Medicine in 2012, and keeps herself in good form through exercise and gardening. If your pain is injury-related, ACC can fund your acupuncture, and our physios can lodge the claim for you.
